I tried using Flashget to download files from my site and it works for me. I just downloaded the entire Hospital theme and got all the files intact. It's free. If you're interested in trying Flashget, you can get it at: http://www.amazesoft.com/download.htm

PLEASE NOTE: I've been getting emails from people saying the files are empty or corrupt. My daughter and I download the files individually and test them after each update. I have been told that it could also be the servers connecting and not the files themselves. When I moved my site, the larger files have been harder to get and I'm working to separate them, but it is a huge undertaking.
** I suggest that you download the files totally first, then open them after, instead of actually trying to open them while downloading (if you know what I mean). If you still have problems, please let me know.
I do not recommend using an auto-downloader (like Gozilla). Some users have had problems with incomplete or corrupt files. I have been receiving emails with no return email address, please make sure that you include your email address on the feedback form. Please check the forum page if you do not receive a reply.
When I do an update, there are a lot of people trying to download at the same time, so it's likely that the server is overloaded. If you do experience this problem, please try again later or the next day. I apologize for the inconvenience and I hope this helps. Thank you.

I know there are several wonderful sets already out there, but I have been receiving several emails, requesting a gingerbread theme. I have included several sets of different ‘cookie’ texture. Sets 1, 2 and 3 all have the same decoration items on them, and set 4 is based on a s’more set, set 5 is a different set entirely and set 6 is chocolate. I have also included a column, 2 doors, sign and picture of Hansel and Gretel. If I think of more things for it, I will add them. I forgot a roof, so will do one to match each set.
I have also been getting emails about problems with the files, probably because some of the older themes are larger files and Crosswinds has problems with them. I am still downsizing a lot of the themes, but we have come up with an idea to create a Yahoo Group, where people can download the larger zips for current themes for a short time. I will start making each theme into larger zips and I can email them out as well.

I have been getting a few emails about the downloaded files coming up as corrupt or empty. I know that a lot of the time it is the size of the files. I'm working to separate all the larger files, because that seems to be a big problem. When I started, I was on Geocities, then Topcities, but webspace was a problem. My site is very big and this server has been the best one for a lot of reasons. For some reason, there are problems with larger files, such as pictures, doors, etc. The walls don't seem to be as much of a problem, but there are still a lot of wall sets and I will be separating the larger sets of files, but it will be a big job.
Some servers don't connect with larger files and sometimes don't finish downloading. I would suggest that you save the file to your desktop first, rather than trying to open them directly. I do know that others have problems, but I know the files do work after downloading because my daughter and I download them once the page is down and test them to make sure they do work. If you are experiencing any problems, please let me know and I will separate those files for you or send them to you. I'm sorry for any inconvenience, and I will be working on all the themes to make the files smaller for easier downloading.

I have been taking a break from doing my walls, because of my health (which has caused me to have writer's block - or wall block - whatever you want to call it). I needed to put my mind away for a time, and wanted to share something I had written about the Newbies. It's a story I made up, using Paint Shop Pro. All the added features are tubes from PSP.
I am also making up a shopping list of sites where I got the items from, so I will be adding that soon, then you can go there and get the objects.
I would also like to add that I have 3 new affiliates (2 are from the same person).
One is Southern Living Sims, they have posted a wonderful space station, using my walls.

I don't know what to do. I have explained that I am not in the best of health right now and most people have been understanding. I was even thinking of stopping requests and updates altogether, because of a few negative comments about requests. I received one that made me feel very bad. I want to keep doing this as long as I can, but I can only do what I can. I was told this "when are they done??? i dont want to rush any body but its been a while now". I apologize if anyone has been waiting awhile, but there is nothing I can do about it healthwise. This is causing me more distress, because I feel I'm letting everyone down.
I apologize to anyone who had requests, I am doing them as fast as I can, but I don't want to produce haphazard themes just to get them out and I cannot predict when I will be able to do them. My health is unpredicable.
I am working on a few themes right now. I don't want to stop doing requests or themes, but I may have to. Please accept my apologies.

Update: I got my new computer, but not without glitches. I couldn't upload any files in FTP or my mail servers. I had to get that fixed, along with several other problems. I had to transfer all my files to the computer, and am trying to sort through everything. I apologize for the delay in updates and also responding to requests and/or problems. I will be working to get it straightened out.

Update: My computer is not worth fixing, so I have to wait about 2 weeks to get a new one. I can't work on anything, and I won't be able to reply to emails right away, because I have to use my daughter's computer. HELP WANTED: I know I shouldn't be taking on too much for awhile, but there's something about this game and the need to create.
There are so many signs I wanted to make for businesses (new and old themes I had done). I had been trying to make exterior hanging signs for the businesses and was having problems in my own game. For some reason, the hanging signs were disappearing in Live Mode. They would be there in build mode, but as soon as I clicked on Live Mode, they disappeared off the wall.
I was wondering if someone could download a few hanging signs from various themes and see if they still work in the Live Mode. Some of the new themed hanging signs are on the Gold Rush 1 and Gold Rush 2 sets.
It might only be my computer and I wanted help to see if it worked for others. That way, I can make hanging signs for other people's games, even if it doesn't work on mine. I'm currently working on a number of requests. It is taking me longer than I expected because I'm not able to concentrate for very long, due to wavering health problems and I tire easily. I wish I could learn to make objects, but it requires more energy than I can give.
The game has changed over the years. Others have been able to make 'real' objects to replace the ones I did, and I've almost covered the business spectrum so to speak. I did the themes and walls to help people make businesses seem more realistic.
I thought about posting a section on my forum and people could tell me
which ones they would like to see done. I have a lot of things I will be adding and I will certainly do requests and redo a theme when I can. The whole experience has been fun for me, I love doing it and everyone has been so supportive. I will continue to post any new items/objects done by my staff and I will also still take requests.
The updates might not be as frequent as they were in the past, but will do it as long as I am able to. More requests and ideas will be forthcoming, just not as frequently.

2. I've updated Gold Rush 2 to include newer walls and signs. For some reason, some of the exterior hanging signs disappeared in live mode, so if you are experiencing that problem, please re-convert them using Object Organizer from the main Sims site. It could just be my computer. I didn't add hanging signs for some of the sets because of it. I'll try and fix the problem and make some hanging signs for those ones.

1. I started the first of the new Gold Rush set Part 1. I was asked to make signs for that set, I decided to redo it while I was at it.

3. I have been asked so many times if I could make objects, I wish I could. Frances has kindly offered to help find sites and has joined our staff. FINALLY! The site has returned! After Crosswinds lost all of their sites, we had to reupload everything. It was on so many CD's and we had to find them all again. March 7, 2002: Broke the miscellaneous page up into 10 smaller pages for MUCH fast loading. Also broke the mall and courthouse pages up and put the police precinct on it's own page.
March 6, 2002: Broke the Restaurants page up into separate pages for faster loading. Will be breaking up more large pages soon... it's going to take awhile!
March 5, 2002: I added a police precinct to the Courthouse/Jail section. I am going to be separating the page, as well as several other larger pages so that it will be easier to load the pages.
March 4, 2002: I decided I needed to have a forum, so I have added links to the Internet Explorer and Netscape pages. Please feel free to post requests or use it for discussions or just general chat.
March 3, 2002: 5 pictures for attic theme under Household Walls section. I received an unsettling email about 2 parts - some pages are too big to load, I didn't realize that. Leslie will break up larger pages, including Mall, Paintings, Bars, Restaurants and Miscellaneous. Requests keep coming in for Restaurants and Bars. I'll try and limit each page to 3 themes. A lot of people want unreal doors and windows for show, some want real doors, so I'll do the best I can. I'm still looking for a door and object maker, so please email me if you would be interested. I'll have to put the requests on hold until Leslie is able to redo the pages. We apologize for the delay, and I will do the requests as soon as possible.

February 20, 2002: Getting up and around. I have posted 1 downtown sign "Beach Hut for Rent", Campbell's Soup Kid Walls under Kitchen/Wall section, and some nostalgic music cover calendars and paintings under the Paintings section. I will be posting another theme I just finished shortly. I had some requests for various buildings, and I wanted to post a site where you can download pieces to make your own separate buildings. You can build a church, barn, gazebo, brass house, greenhouse, cage and porch. The site is JobTwoSims, but unfortunately the link has gone, I believe it is now a paysite.

February 1, 2002: Under household walls and floors, I have done up a set of cat walls, general walls, kids' room walls (Mario), drapery walls and matching drapes. I have also done a Demarne painting (from the Old Masters). Rebecca (Becca) has done up a wonderful house for the Wedding theme.

January 23, 2002: Added some more carpets and some walls to the household walls/floors page. Leslie has created her first object under a new section called objects. (A Nintendo TV).
January 21, 2002: Added a Correctional Institute (prison) for your wayward Sims under the Courthouse/Jail.
January 18, 2002: Added a household walls/floors page. Just carpets there right now. Re-did the Arcade, Valentine's and Veterinarian pages as well. I have almost finished redoing the arcade one.
January 12, 2002: Since I moved the site, people are having problems downloading the larger zips. It seems to be the servers connecting. I'm going through all the themes and making the larger zips smaller. January 4, 2002: Added winter theme on the seasons page, new real business signs under the signs Downtown page and made the grocery walls into more zip files for easier downloading. Bea has joined our staff as Vice President, to help me with various projects. In the beginning, she encouraged me to send in my schoolhouse to Julie (previously of Starlight Sims). Leslie started doing my site when Julie had to close hers. Thank you to all three ladies.

December 28, 2001: Added malt shop screenshots. The majority of the objects Rebecca uses in her screenshots come from The Sims Resource Here. I'm currently working on some new signs for use in Downtown. I am going to use the hanging outside signs for restaurants/bars. They will be located in the sign section. Changed the bowling and movie themes with smaller files and more zips, should be easier to download.
December 26, 2001: Added a bowling alley building with screenshots and a malt shop building.
December 21, 2001: Seasons Greetings. 2 small themes to add until after Christmas. Then I will be doing a new New Years Eve theme. 1. One wall to the Santa's Workshop page (your Sims can display their Christmas cards). 2. Under Restaurants, a French Bistro. I have received several requests for different types of bars and restaurants, so I will be working on those after Christmas.

November 22, 2001: Yes, this site moved again! I now have unlimited webspace so NO MORE ARCHIVED THEMES! All themes have been restored, now no-one will have to email me for files. That was the reason for the lack of updates...it's taken awhile to convert everything over to the new server. I'm now going to take a break, so I can play Hot Date! :) I have added a few new themes.....

October 29, 2001: As of October 31, 2001.. this site has been up for one year! In celebration, I have made a birthday walls theme. :)
October 16, 2001: Mr. Dressup (Ernie Coombs) is to Canadians what Mr. Rogers is to the U.S. He passed away in mid-Sept 2001. Someone on a Sims message Board had asked about a tribute to him. So, on the misc 3 page, there is now a Mr. Dressup theme, including his tickle trunk. This theme probably won't make much sense to anyone except Canadians. :)
October 14, 2001: Major Update!! Restaurant page now has an Amsterdam Coffee Shop, Library now has a bookstore, Halloween theme now has a Haunted House, Miscellaneous 3 page now has Credit Cards and Miscellaneous walls, Nurseries now has kids walls, added a Royalty theme and a Night at the Roxbury theme. Enjoy!!!
October 9, 2001: There is a major update coming very soon. But to hold everyone over, I posted a Survivor page (including the Season 3 people). I will be adding more themes in the next few days.
October 7, 2001: I'm in the process of making more room for several new Themes. I had to remove the screenshots temporarily. The screenshots, .iffs (doors, pictures, objects, etc,), and the themed walls are why I had to remove some older themes to make way for new themes. Some sites remove them altogether and cannot offer them separately. I want to provide these older themes for my fans and don't mind sending them. Some pages might have broken links where the screenshots were. The screenshots took up nearly 15 megs of space! I can fit a couple new themes instead of those. I am condensing the screenshots, so they will be back. So please be patient. :)
September 23, 2001: If you have requested a theme or files, and haven't received a response, there is now a request problems page. I have received requests with no email address to reply to, or have had mail bouncing back. If you name is on the list on the problems page, you have to resend your request and INCLUDE YOUR EMAIL. :) Thanks!
